While I spend most of my time on two wheels commuting, my first love in the saddle is cycle touring (old style with panniers. tent, cooking utensils etc.) on the quiet highways and byways (I have cycled most of the length and breadth of England and parts of Europe); I'm also not adverse to an outing on knobbly tyres, now and then.
